After seeing Daddy's Home2 last night, and this series has made me a Will Farrel fan! Where as before, ELF was the only movie of Will's I could watch end to end. (In fact, it's on my perennial holiday movie.) But, I can't WAIT for Daddy's Home 2 to come out on video and add it to my collection!
Mark Wahlberg (Dusty) and Will Farrell (Brad) are back in the game and best dad-buds. Helping each other be the best dad's possible with little suggestions to top-notch their own efforts to heighten the best experience for the kids.
Uh huh. Just what I like... people making suggestions how I need to just be  a little more perfect. And yes, that same tension gets revealed in the movie when ....
Guess who is coming to town? A chain smoking tough guy pilot dad of Dusty,  Kurt  (aka Mel Gibson);  and Brad's  little outside of the comfort zone kissing his son on the lips dad, Don. (aka  John Lithgow).
Clever, well written, and funny. The highlight of the movie.... the (intentional?) plant of the song DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS by Band Aid, from the 1980's.  Led by Brad to bring his extended family together, and the together-by-snow-storm-trapped-in-a-movie-theater "neighbors", in a sing a long of the song.  The best part was the movie AUDIENCE joining in the song! Better yet, were the audience members, myself included, staying through the credits and singing the song, again!
